Our new name and new logo completes a major, three-year re-branding initiative and creates an entirely new and all-Canadian banner - Kruger Products - for several of Canada's most successful, best-selling tissue brands including Cashmere® bathroom tissue, SpongeTowels® paper towels, Scotties®' facial tissue and Purex® bathroom tissue.
Why did we change our name? In 1997, our parent company, Kruger Inc., purchased the assets of Scott Paper Limited from Kimberly-Clark. That purchase included a ten-year licensing and trademark agreement for the Scott Paper name and Cottonelle and ScotTowels trademarks. Since that agreement ended in June 2007, we knew that we would ultimately have to change our name and, in 2004, began the process of doing so.
Our parent company, Montreal-based Kruger Inc., is Canada's leading manufacturer and distributor of paper products and one of its most successful and diversified companies, with operations across North America and more than 10,000 employees.
