Environmental sustainability has long been a focus of the Kruger organization. In 1948, Kruger Inc. implemented our first reforestation program, followed in the 1970s by innovative wastewater treatment and the introduction of recycled fibre in our tissue products. We have since introduced eco-friendly premium paper products in the form of the new EnviroCare™ line: SpongeTowels®, Cashmere®, Purex® and Scotties®’ brands produced with 100% recycled fibre. Kruger Products is proud to carry Environment Canada’s EcoLogom symbol on EnviroCare™ and White Swan® merchandise; this seal assures consumers of a full-cycle manufacturing process that meets the program’s demanding environmental requirements. Other initiatives include a reduction of Greenhouse Gas emissions with a new biomass gasification system at our facility in British Columbia and increased utilization of 100% recycled shipping cases and product packaging.

As part of the Kruger Inc. family, Kruger Products L.P. continues to develop and implement sustainable business practices that lead the industry in environmental protection. We are proud of our history in environmental sustainability and commit to accelerating these efforts for the benefit of current and future generations.
